Experience
I am a professor and tutor who loves to teach science. I am available to help students with biology and microbiology. I bring my years of experience teaching and my knowledge of science to my role as a tutor. My passion for biology began at the California State University at Chico, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. I then went on to get my master's in Biological Sciences with a focus on Microbiology from Chico State. My love for biology continued as I moved on to the University of Arizona, where I received my Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Immunology. I am now a professor of biology at several community colleges. I believe that the subject of biology is very applicable to the real world around us, and I incorporate this philosophy into my tutoring. I motivate my students by presenting biology as something real and perceivable, not just something you just read about in a textbook. When I'm not teaching or tutoring I'm spending time outside, experiencing biology firsthand.
