Major: MCB - Neurobiology
Minor: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)
ExperienceI've tutored for around four years in all technical subjects. I did very well on the SAT myself and all of my AP / IB exams in high school. I taught myself programming in high school before taking formal classes in CS and electrical engineering at Berkeley, where I also learned neurobiology. I have a large amount of neuroscience research experience, the majority of which has been in programming biophysical models using Python, MATLAB, R, C++ and so on.
HobbiesMy primary interests are in neurobiology and computer science. I've spent many years building computational models of brains and do similar work currently at a translational medicine lab at a research institute within Keck Medicine at USC.
I also enjoy hiking, spending time with my dogs, playing basketball and indie video games.

Daniel was very patient and helpful when I couldn't understand some of the concepts of my calc class (limits!!). He takes it back to the basics and makes sure you have a real understanding of the material, not just memorizing stuff. Really helped me do better in the class.
Daniel did great with my three 9th and 10th grade daughters in Physics. His style of teaching is very straightforward, very clear, and his hours are very flexible. Recommended.
